Welcome to our August 2008 newsletter. We hope you enjoyed the previous issue and
found it to be interesting as well as informative. In this issue, we will highlight the
abdominoplasty procedure, a procedure which is usually long lasting with dramatic results.
Also included, you will find information on the launch of a new and informative Beauty for
Life website which is a joint initiative of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS)
and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) on the latest trends in
cosmetic surgery. There are also a couple of great recipes from staff members and
information on a local two-day event which should be a lot of fun.

Patients are often looking for solutions where they get the most "bang for their buck."
There are many surgical options as well as non-surgical options that are available. Often,
surgical treatments are the most efficacious. They provide dramatic change and the results
last for many years. But many patients do not have the "recovery time" to have surgery. In
those instances, non-surgical treatments may provide nice results with limited "down time".
These include Botox® treatments, Micro laser peels, injectables such as Juvederm™, and
non-ablative laser treatments. The Beauty for Life website is a great way to see what some
of the possibilities are. Of course, Julie and I would be most happy to explain any of these
treatments to you at a consultation.

This season is a time for reversing the summer's damage with laser treatments, and surgical
solutions for the areas which may have prevented people from wanting to put on their
