Grandma's Broccoli Salad |
Prep Time: 20 min Total Time: 1 hr 20 min Makes: 12 servings, 1/2 cup each REFRIGERATE at least 1 hour before serving. |
Prep time: 10 minutes Makes 1 serving INGREDIENTS ½ cup nonfat milk ½ cup fat-free plain yogurt ½ cup frozen banana, peeled and chopped 2 tbsp powdered protein supplement 1½ tbsp flax seed 1 tsp honey ½ cup frozen strawberries (other frozen fruit may be substituted) DIRECTIONS In a blender, blend the milk, yogurt, banana, protein supplement, flax seed, honey, and strawberries until smooth. The competition will pit up to 54 professional BBQers from around the country against each other for $20,000 in cash and prizes. At the same time, as many as 50 local amateur BBQ teams will compete for the braggin' rights to the best Q in Birmingham. |

INGREDIENTS 1 bunch broccoli, cut finely ½ cup sunflower seeds (salted) 1 small red onion minced fine 8 slices of bacon, fried crisp and crumbled DRESSING 1 cup mayonnaise ( can use light ) ½ cup sugar 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar Mix all ingredients with salad dressing. Top with sunflower seeds. |
